Mission Cinderella’s Closet, a project of the Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties, Inc., reaches students who have current financial difficulties and merit royal treatment by a “Fairy Godmother”. We do this by providing formalwear and accessories free of charge to students as a result of community support and volunteer participation. |

Boutique Details For the past five prom seasons, the Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties, Inc. has hosted an enchanting boutique where dreams came true. High school women with financial difficulties were greeted at the boutique by a Fairy Godmother who served as their own personal shopper. The young women were able to search among thousands of gorgeous gowns to find the dresses of their dreams, and accessories to match. These lucky women left the boutique feeling beautiful and ready for prom. In 2009, the boutique served over 375 high school women.
The doors to Cinderella's Closet will open again for the sixth year in April 2010. Please check back in the Fall for more details.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the City of Aurora to make area young ladies’ prom dreams come true! We reach students who have current financial difficulties and merit royal treatment by a “Fairy Godmother”. Students must be currently enrolled in high school and must present a valid student ID card or other proof of current enrollment. For more information on becoming a Cinderella, visit the Get a Dress tab.
To volunteer at the boutique, visit the Call for Volunteers section of the How to Help tab. You'll be in good company with previous Fairy Godmothers, members of the Junior League and other service organizations, and local celebrities.
