On Saturday, April 17th, the new members will host the spring Kids in the Kitchen event at Mooseheart Child City & School. Chaired by Debbie Whelpley and Jill Mailander Lipien, the spring event will showcase nutrition information and include an interactive healthy cooking session led by JLKD Sustainer and professional chef Brandy Fernow. Mooseheart (http://mooseheart.org) is a community and school for children ranging in age from infancy through high school. Mooseheart provides complete home care, education, and training for children whose families are unable to care for them. JLKD will host approximately 60 middle and high school students and provide healthy living materials to all 213 students to encourage a lifetime of proper nutrition.
